Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This contemporary artwork features a bright yellow rectangular platform with two circular openings displaying landscape images. The top image depicts a cloudy sky with a silhouetted city skyline, while the bottom image shows a dark building with distinct architectural features. The juxtaposition of the circular portals and the contrasting scenes creates a visually compelling composition that invites the viewer to consider the relationship between the two depicted environments. The artist's use of vivid color, geometric shapes, and photographic elements suggests an exploration of themes related to urban environments, perception, and the interplay between the natural and built worlds. ...

Meriem Bennani’s work occupies the abstracted, speculative dimension of science fiction. Bennani became interested in the concept and feasibility of teleportation, as well as its relationship with issues of migration, during 2016. She considers how teleportation looks within the lens of geopolitics and, if bodies were able to teleport for one day, where would they go? How would this process be policed, and if teleporters were intercepted by law enforcement, where would they be held captive?
