Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork presents a striking visual of two crumpled, metallic forms against a stark white background. The contrasting shapes and textures create a sense of dynamism, with the irregular, jagged edges and bulges evoking a sense of spontaneity and energy. The monochromatic silver hue lends the piece a contemporary, industrial feel, highlighting the artist's focus on materiality and form over narrative subject matter. This sculptural work likely explores themes of impermanence, transformation, and the intersection of organic and inorganic elements, reflecting the artist's intention to challenge traditional notions of beauty and artistic expression. ...

Artist
Pae White
B.1963, American

Born in Pasadena in 1963. She lives and works in Los Angeles. The core of Pae White’s practice is based in the desire to insert the domestic in the space of art, two worlds that in her practice overlap with playful and poetic vision. Her production allude to this constant oscillation between art and design, function and form, revealing a painterly, trompe-d’oeil quality that often confuses the real nature of their medium. Since the beginning of her career Pae White has explored a variety of materials and techniques, formal elements being a central focus of her artistic production. Among her most iconic artworks we can mention her tapestries, mobiles, chandeliers, thread installations, neon installations. Her research develops with the study of different materials as aluminum, ceramic, clay, glass, marble, paper, porcelain and steel. All of pae White’s works share an intrinsic duality, existing as both functional objects and sculptures. The duality is seen in the production of her work as well, whereby what seems manual, hand-crafted, is in fact the fruit of advanced mechanical technology. ...
