Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This contemporary art piece features a striking, minimalist composition of geometric shapes and forms. The dominant color palette is a soft, muted blue, with various shades and tones creating a harmonious visual balance. The artwork incorporates elongated vertical elements, ranging from thin rods to larger cylindrical shapes, that seem to ascend and diverge, creating a sense of dynamism and movement. The use of repetitive, yet slightly varied forms suggests an underlying structure or system, perhaps alluding to concepts of order, technology, or the natural world. The artist's intention appears to explore themes of abstraction, materiality, and the interplay between form and space. ...

Artist
Pae White
B.1963, American

Born in Pasadena in 1963. She lives and works in Los Angeles. The core of Pae White’s practice is based in the desire to insert the domestic in the space of art, two worlds that in her practice overlap with playful and poetic vision. Her production allude to this constant oscillation between art and design, function and form, revealing a painterly, trompe-d’oeil quality that often confuses the real nature of their medium. Since the beginning of her career Pae White has explored a variety of materials and techniques, formal elements being a central focus of her artistic production. Among her most iconic artworks we can mention her tapestries, mobiles, chandeliers, thread installations, neon installations. Her research develops with the study of different materials as aluminum, ceramic, clay, glass, marble, paper, porcelain and steel. All of pae White’s works share an intrinsic duality, existing as both functional objects and sculptures. The duality is seen in the production of her work as well, whereby what seems manual, hand-crafted, is in fact the fruit of advanced mechanical technology. ...

Kaufmann Repetto
Milan, New York City

francesca kaufmann gallery opened in January 2000. Since then, the gallery has aimed to explore a diverse range of media, with a focus on video, site specific installation, and a special attention towards the works of female artists. After ten years in its historical location, the gallery opened in a new space in October 2010, under the name kaufmann repetto, to mark the partnership between Francesca Kaufmann and Chiara Repetto. In its new location, the gallery has been able to further develop its exhibition programming through a project space dedicated predominantly to younger artists, as well as a courtyard for large scale outdoor installations, which run parallel to the gallery’s main exhibition schedule. In 2013, the gallery inaugurated a new location in Chelsea, New York, with a parallel program to the gallery’s main space in Milan. In 2019 the New York location moved to Tribeca, expanding to a 3,000 sq ft exhibition space. The inaugural exhibition at the gallery’s new space in Tribeca was a solo show by Lily van der Stokker. ...
