Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This artwork features a framed display of handwritten text in a minimalist composition. The text appears to be a series of coded entries or records, with numbers, abbreviations, and brief phrases that suggest a bureaucratic or administrative context. The spare, understated style and use of typewritten text evoke a sense of impersonal documentation or official record-keeping. The artist's intention may be to comment on the bureaucratic nature of modern life or the dehumanizing effects of systems that reduce individuals to numerical data. ...

Paolo Colombo’s passion for texture together with an appreciation for Byzantine and folk arts is also alive in the works. In his later watercolors, often comprised of two or more sheets butting against each other, the lettering and the painted stars and diamonds appear as embroidery, and in consistency with this, the texture of the paper resembles that of cloth. The artist lives and works in Athens, Greece. ...
