Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This striking contemporary artwork features a minimalist composition of hanging chains and suspended objects. The central piece, held by chains, appears to be a collage or assemblage composed of various materials, including a photograph depicting a human figure. The two additional hanging objects, one red and one dark-colored, add visual interest and a sense of balance to the overall composition. The artist's style employs a combination of found objects, collage, and sculptural elements, creating a thought-provoking piece that may explore themes of identity, symbolism, and the human form. ...

He is a graduate from Marseille-Méditerranée National Higher Institute for Artistic Education - INSEAMM (Marseille, FR) in 2020. Samir Laghouati-Rashwan is an artist who creates narratives from archival work, using media such as film, photography and sculpture. His work explores the politics of space and bodies, with a particular focus on representations of the Other, the body and race in mediated cultural productions and institutional art spaces. With a tone that oscillates between amusement and vulnerability, he traces marginalized or forgotten histories and explores geographical displacement and linguistic reappropriation as testimony to systems of domination. His installations are characterized by fluorescent and acid colors, creating situations both realistic and phantasmagorical. ...
