Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork features a minimalist, monochromatic design with the word "DOCENT" prominently displayed in a grey color scheme. The simple yet striking composition emphasizes the text, which takes up the majority of the frame. The clean, sans-serif font and lack of additional elements create a visually impactful, conceptual piece that invites the viewer to ponder the meaning and significance of the word "docent" within the context of art and education.

His deceptive paintings sit comfortably between image and object, the domestic and the industrial, the decorative and the pragmatic. Borrowing techniques from 19th-century still-life painting, his works contain resonances of past image worlds while simultaneously creating new constellations, to propose a painterly vocabulary strongly informed by our (post-)digital condition. ...

V.O Curations
London

V.O Curations is an arts organisation dedicated to supporting emerging and underrepresented artists through an innovative and critically-engaged programme. Founded in 2019 by Zina Vieille and Nnamdi Obiekwe, V.O Curations believes that to curate is to approach all aspects of the programme - residencies, exhibitions, events and studio spaces - with care. V.O Curations spans two locations in Mayfair and Tower of London, and currently hosts over 250 artists and thinkers in affordable studios, responding to the changing ways in which they are working and the acute rent increases in the capital. In January 2021, V.O Curations opened its headquarters at 56 Conduit Street, which is the site for its residency and exhibition programme, alongside 70 artist studios. This location in Mayfair reinforces V.O’s commitment to connecting emerging artists to distinctive networks and resources. ...
