Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This contemporary artwork features a striking monochromatic composition in shades of gray. The central focus is a detailed, fantastical creature with intricate, symmetrical patterns resembling a mythological being. Surrounding this central figure are smaller, equally intricate shapes and forms, creating a visually captivating and almost otherworldly display. The artist's use of negative space and precise, minimalist design elements lend the piece a sense of elegance and delicacy, inviting the viewer to closely examine the intricate details. Victor Lim Seaward (b. 1988, Kuala Lumpur) is an artist living and working in London. Lim Seaward holds a BA in Art History and graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2018 with an MA in Painting. His work is rooted in materiality, technological manufacture, and the agency of objects. Mining a broad spectrum of material culture, Seaward juxtaposes utilitarian materials with high-tech manufactured components and objects of historical significance - in order to investigate authorship, commodity, and the fluid nature of time and permanence. Solo exhibitions of his work have been held at Galería Mascota, Mexico City (2024); Brooke Benington, London (2023); the Zabludowicz Collection, London (2022); Galerie Fabian Lang, Zurich (2022). In May 2024, Lim Seaward will present a solo exhibition at THE SHOPHOUSE, Hong Kong. ...
