Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork features a captivating installation of numerous hanging jellyfish-like structures. The composition is striking, with an array of delicate, translucent forms suspended from the ceiling, creating a mesmerizing and ethereal atmosphere. The artist has employed a minimalist aesthetic, using primarily white materials to highlight the graceful, undulating shapes and textures. The subject matter evokes a sense of underwater serenity, inviting the viewer to pause and contemplate the tranquil, ethereal nature of the piece. This installation likely aims to explore themes of natural beauty, fragility, and the harmony between organic and inorganic elements within a contemporary art context. ...

Artist
Truong Tan
1963 , Vietnamese

Born in Hanoi in 1963, Truong Tan is one of Vietnam’s most innovative and daring artists. As the first openly gay artist in Vietnam to freely address issues of homosexuality in his art, he has also proven influential due to his relentless originality as a painter and his groundbreaking works of performance and installation in the 1990s. Moving from his early autobiographical work, Tan’s current practice (often times incredibly labour intensive) ponders grand themes of love, courage, prejudice and conflict.
