Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This large-scale sculptural installation features a prominent, vibrant red form with a curved, shell-like shape. The piece appears to be composed of multiple layers or sections, creating a sense of depth and movement. The dramatic, sweeping composition and the use of a bold, monochromatic color scheme suggest a powerful, almost organic presence within the gallery space. The artist's intent may have been to explore themes of transformation, energy, or the relationship between organic and inorganic forms, though the specific context remains open to interpretation. ...

Truong Tan
B.1963, Vietnamese

Born in Hanoi in 1963, Truong Tan is one of Vietnam’s most innovative and daring artists. As the first openly gay artist in Vietnam to freely address issues of homosexuality in his art, he has also proven influential due to his relentless originality as a painter and his groundbreaking works of performance and installation in the 1990s. Moving from his early autobiographical work, Tan’s current practice (often times incredibly labour intensive) ponders grand themes of love, courage, prejudice and conflict. ...
