DIGITAL IDENTITY AND VIRTUAL SELVES IS A SERIES EXAMINING HOW TECHNOLOGY RESHAPES CONTEMPORARY SELFHOOD. In an era defined by constant connectivity and virtual presence, identity is no longer anchored to the physical body alone. It is distributed across social media, avatars, data traces, and online interactions—constructed through visibility, repetition, and surveillance.

Through the work of contemporary artists working across digital and physical mediums, the series explores how selves are performed, mediated, and reinvented online. From curated personas and algorithmic identities to speculative avatars and virtual embodiments, each episode investigates the tension between agency and automation, intimacy and exposure. These practices reveal the digital self as fluid and unstable—shaped by desire, technology, and systems beyond our control.
