Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The image depicts a rugged, desolate landscape with a small stream cutting through a deep gully. The predominant colors are muted shades of brown and grey, with sparse vegetation scattered across the hilly terrain. The composition emphasizes the stark, windswept nature of the scene, conveying a sense of isolation and the raw power of the natural environment. The artwork appears to capture the harsh beauty of a remote, mountainous region, perhaps reflecting the artist's fascination with the power and resilience of the natural world. ...

Aslan Goisum
B.1991, Russian

Aslan Goisum (b. 1991 in Grozny, Chechnya) lives and works in Grozny. Aslan Goisum tends to mine memory – collective and personal, political and cultural – for clues about colonial realities, how they have been endured and how they might be undone. Identities come into play in his work, as embodied effects of violence perpetrated or unfreedom suffered but also as possible openings, new beginnings. Goisum’s own biography allows him to speak of the northern Caucasus, but he does not allow it to keep him tethered to its past, present or future. So far his prime artistic tools have been the moving image, sculptural installation and various paper-based techniques. – Anders Kreuger ...
