Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This contemporary artwork features a striking black metal grid-like structure that creates a spatial and geometric composition. The rectangular frame is composed of vertical and diagonal metal bars, forming a visually dynamic and minimalist aesthetic. The work appears to reference themes of restriction, containment, and the juxtaposition of open and closed spaces. The artist's intention may be to explore the relationship between form, structure, and the viewer's perception and interaction with the work. This conceptual piece reflects the artist's mastery of materials and their ability to create a thought-provoking sculptural installation. ...

Artist
Aslan Goisum
B.1991, Russian

Aslan Goisum (b. 1991 in Grozny, Chechnya) lives and works in Grozny. Aslan Goisum tends to mine memory – collective and personal, political and cultural – for clues about colonial realities, how they have been endured and how they might be undone. Identities come into play in his work, as embodied effects of violence perpetrated or unfreedom suffered but also as possible openings, new beginnings. Goisum’s own biography allows him to speak of the northern Caucasus, but he does not allow it to keep him tethered to its past, present or future. So far his prime artistic tools have been the moving image, sculptural installation and various paper-based techniques. – Anders Kreuger ...
