ceramic, glazed stoneware Pi Artworks
Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This ceramic sculpture features a striking, expressive mask-like form with a prominent, open mouth and textured, spike-like protrusions around the face. The glazed surface displays a mottled blue-gray tone, giving the piece an aged, weathered appearance. The overall composition is asymmetrical and dynamic, suggesting a sense of emotion or intensity. Tucker’s ceramic sculptures could be best described as anachronistic artifacts, historically ambiguous due to the diverse source material they draw from. The mutable nature of symbols plays a strong role as she is interested in images that have been used to signify different things in different cultures. This enhances each object’s timelessness and allows for open-ended interpretations.
