Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork features a chaotic composition of abstract shapes and textures in a dark, somber palette. Prominent elements include overlapping layers of black, grey, and yellow hues, along with a central burst of color and form reminiscent of an explosion or organic growth. The surface is heavily textured, with visible brushstrokes, drips, and collage elements that lend the piece a raw, expressive quality. The title "Sleep" suggests a subconscious, dream-like state embodied in the work's turbulent, unsettling aesthetic. This contemporary abstract painting reflects the artist's exploratory approach to materiality and conveys a sense of internal conflict or unrest. ...

Sultana
Paris

Founded in 2010 by Guillaume Sultana, Sultana collaborates with emerging international artists. The gallery space operates as a site for experimentation and expression, often bringing together well-established and lesser known artists through a playful, yet politically-engaged curatorial program that highlights practices concerned with questions of identity and their social ramifications. By giving space to curators and writers, in addition to artists, the gallery is committed to rethinking the traditional modes of exhibition-making and collaboration within the art world.
