Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This contemporary artwork features an intriguing and visually striking mushroom-like form. The colors range from deep greens to vibrant yellows, creating a striking contrast against the muted grey background. The overall composition is asymmetrical, with the mushroom-like shape curling and twisting in an organic, almost sculptural manner. The use of texture is particularly noteworthy, with the surface appearing rough and uneven, almost geological in nature. The artist seems to be exploring the intersection of the natural and the artificial, inviting the viewer to consider the delicate balance and interplay between the organic and the manufactured. ...

Kentaro Kawabata
1976 , Japanese

Kentaro Kawabata works primarily with porcelain, creating vessels, spoons, and sculptures with organic forms. Small pieces of colored glass are embedded in the porcelain clay, creating delicate streams of color as they blend into the surface glaze. The patterns and colors that emerge when the porcelain is fired are always an exciting surprise for Kawabata. As his vessels generally reflect the human body, the glass also acts as a link between the inner and outer worlds. Kawabata’s interest in the power of regeneration is expressed not only by his fingerprints that can be found on the surface of his works - suggesting that his pieces are alive - but also by the production of new sculptural works made from clay leftover from previous projects. ...

High Art
Paris, Arles

High Art was born in 2013 from an interest in bringing together distinct perspectives in advanced practices that are significant to current paradigms in contemporary art. Since its inception, High Art has functioned to provide an economic and logistic framework for artists by reexamining established modes of art commerce and production while attempting to account for an expanding field of art. The gallery has fostered not only the emergence of artists (Olga Balema, Max Hooper Schneider, Julien Creuzet, Matt Copson, Lucy Bull, Hun Kyu Kim, Mélanie Matranga) but also the emergence of new networks and economies (Paris Internationale, Shanaynay). In May of 2017, High Art inaugurated a new space in the heart of the 9th arrondissement of Paris. The space, which is located on the ground floor of an 19th century Haussmannian building, is notable for housing Georges Bizet while he wrote the opera “Carmen”. In December of 2020, High Art opened a second location in a 12th century chapel in the heart of Arles, France. ...
