Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This sculptural relief depicts a striking and evocative scene, composed primarily of earthy tones and rough, irregular shapes. The central figures, a male and female, are rendered in a dynamic, sensual pose, their intertwined bodies conveying a sense of intimacy and movement. The surrounding rocky forms create a dramatic, almost cave-like setting, adding to the primal, elemental quality of the work. The overall style and technique suggest a modernist or expressionist influence, with the artist employing bold, sculptural forms to convey a deeply personal and emotive subject matter. This artwork likely reflects the artist's exploration of the human condition and the fundamental aspects of the human experience. ...

B.1991, Swedish

Klara Zetterholm (b. 1991, Stockholm, SE) describes her works as situated broadly in the field of sculpture, involving painting, installation, and assemblage. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Art in Stockholm in 2022 and her MFA exhibition was awarded a grant from the Bonnier Foundation. Her latest works include bas-reliefs, mostly engaging in faking and forging materials and antiqueness through patina, motifs, and faux stone or wood painting. With a background in scenography and decor painting, the artist employs methods used in stage and set design in order to create false narratives, mainly of archeology and natural history. Drawn to ideas of nonlinear time, mythological figures and science fiction, her works convey a sense of uncanniness and reflections on binaries such as the ultramodern and the prehistoric, the prosperous and the apocalyptic. ...
