Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork in this contemporary art gallery features a striking large-scale painting depicting a dramatic, icy landscape. The composition is dominated by shades of blue, conveying a sense of icy coldness and vast, untamed natural forces. The brushwork is expressive, creating a sense of movement and energy within the frozen scene. The focal point is a towering, jagged mountain structure shrouded in mist, suggesting an air of mystery and the power of the natural world. Placed in the foreground is a large, weathered wooden crate, adding a sense of human presence and interaction with the surrounding environment. The overall effect is one of awe and contemplation, inviting the viewer to consider the relationship between humanity and the natural landscape. ...

Mixing influences from Dada, Minimalism, Land Art and Conceptualism, the artistic duo Littlewhitehead (Craig Little, b. 1980 in Glasgow & Blake Whitehead b. 1985 in Lanark, Scotland) develop eerie installations combining sculpture and painting. Meditating on themes of abandonment, built environments, social structures, and the passing of time, callous concrete models might sit in conversation with hollowed steel structures and surreal assemblages gathering objects at odds with one another. Often working durationally on a body of work, Littlewhitehead frequently leave sculptures out in the elements to weather prior to exhibiting them. Journeys Seldom End (2019-2022) for example was created over a period of three years, collecting leaves, pollen, and puddles of water in the process. Interactions with disused buildings or sites often sparks new projects for Littlewhitehead with unoccupied malls, California ghost towns and mid-century tower blocks serving as fertile ground to harvest. Digital shells, or fossils such as dated websites or blogs also intrigue the duo, with these digital environments also sharing a sense of dereliction and neglect. Void of human activity, their installations lay bare the fast paced hunger of modern society, with the sculptures and paintings housing societal fragments once beloved and now cast aside. ...
