Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This artwork features a striking monochromatic blue composition with distinct sculptural elements. The predominant shapes are three stylized, mask-like faces emerging from a central organic form, reminiscent of a tree or plant. The overall design emphasizes symmetry and repetition, creating a bold, graphic effect. The artist has employed a unique, textural approach, molding the surfaces to produce a tactile, almost carved-like quality. This piece appears to be a vibrant, modern interpretation of primal, tribal-inspired imagery, evoking a sense of spiritual or symbolic expression within a predominantly blue chromatic palette. ...

An island is all surrounded by water In the morning foreboding Quickly solved by dripping A shower, you know A slow crawl to the park Wait first meat A coffee A hill A roundabout A breeze on the lake A larking body of water, once screaming once babbling, once running A sleeping family A white child with A water gun A tall tree A tunneling A horn Another A too small blanket, you in my mind and next to me A wind in my ears, my basement look what I found, leave the lights on A sigh A tie on a rooftop A still flooding Another horn All in the flight path An immovable object A clapping of leaves A certainty, it is seven feet deep One boy watches the other A horn

Sweet words work better than fierce. The duke left the park in a silver coach. Greet the new guests and leave quickly. When the frost has come it is time for turkey. A thin stripe runs down the middle. A six comes up more often than a ten. Lush fern grow on the lofty rocks

We talked of the slide show in the circus. Use a pencil to write the first draft. He ran half way to the hardware store. The clock struck to mark the third period. A small creek cut across the field. Cars and busses stalled in snow drifts. Not clumping. The set of china hit, the floor with a crash. This is a grand season for hikes on the road. The dune rose from the edge of the water. Those words were the cue for the actor to leave.

Artist
Mamali Shafahi
B.1982, Iranian

A recurrent thread running through Mamali's projects since his first performances in France in the early 2000s has been a focus on transgression and testing limits, involving a reversal of roles between artist and others - participants, the public, and most recently his parents - to see how far the latter will go in their new role as protagonist. Artists have special powers: to take part in an art project, people can be persuaded to step far outside their usual perimeters, abandoning constraints, questioning taboos, challenging their preconceptions… The roles of artist and model, producer and consumer, subject and object, dominator and subordinate... are thus perverted. The participant or viewer takes an active role and the artist loses absolute control over the finished experience: artists and participants are changed or even transformed - in some cases, for life. This process of interaction, the blurring of boundaries between the artist and others, the shifting locus of power, the potentially perverse possibilities it opens up, underpin all of Mamali's practice, whatever the issue he is investigating: taboo and breaking taboos, narcissism and voyeurism, intergenerational exchange, domestic perversity, addiction and self-destruction, the impact of new technologies and 'post-body' immortality… ...
