1926, SlovakDuring the war Milan Grygar studied at the School of Trades in Brno, in the years 1945 - 1950 University of Applied Arts in Prague with Professor Emil Filla. His first solo exhibition in Prague, was devoted to abstract painting. For about half a century, starting in the mid-1960s, Milan Grygar has developed a body of work whose premise is the inseparable character of two senses occidental art has often seen as distinct: sight and hearing.
