Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This vibrant and imaginative painting showcases a rich tapestry of colors, shapes, and surreal elements. The composition features a lush, dreamlike landscape with a central figure in motion against a backdrop of rolling hills, a rainbow, and an expansive sky. The expressive brushwork and bold use of hues such as green, blue, and red create a sense of energy and movement. The subject matter blends recognizable elements, like the figure and natural forms, with more symbolic or abstract shapes and objects, evoking a sense of fantasy and the subconscious. This piece embodies the artist's unique style and vision, inviting the viewer to explore the depths of their own imagination. ...

B.1966, German

Unravelling narrative threads of German folklore in tandem with tropes of psychoanalysis, Amelie Von Wulffen’s canvases host unsettling yet beguiling scenes which strike at the existential questions surrounding a specifically German cultural heritage. Often using personal memories and the family structure as a site to digest a collective sense of the subconscious, her paintings pull the viewer in with remnants of familiarity. Fairy tale figures are repositioned in unfamiliar environments, scale and proportion are stretched to their limits and her painterly style shifts between precise art historical rendering and more free-form, expressive amateur art. Outside of painting, Von Wulffen also works in drawing and sculpture, often repurposing household objects — drawing out the conceptual currents of the domestic. ...
