Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This collage-like artwork features a diverse mix of visual elements and textual fragments. The dominant colors are muted tones of beige and brown, with splashes of blue and red accents. The composition juxtaposes various shapes, including geometric patterns, typography, and photographic images, creating a visually striking and layered effect. The subject matter appears to be a blend of urban imagery, such as a city map, and pop culture references, including what seems to be an advertisement for a film or event. The overall aesthetic suggests a postmodern sensibility, with the artist skillfully merging disparate materials and influences to create a thought-provoking and enigmatic artwork. The artwork's style and technique reflect a collage or assemblage approach, where the artist has combined various found objects and media to construct a unique and unconventional visual narrative. The historical context and the artist's intention behind this piece may explore themes of urban experience, consumerism, or the fragmentation of contemporary culture. ...

B.2000, Ghanaian

Courage Hunke (Ghanaian, b. 2000) is a visionary artist whose work bridges the realms of consumer culture and the profound ephemerality of existence. With an unyielding passion for redefining the boundaries of art, Courage explores unconventional mediums to convey messages of beauty, sustainability, and memory. At the core of Courage’s art lies the innovative process of fusing paper with repurposed merchandise plastic bags through heat-pressing. This unique technique transforms everyday objects into imprints of life experiences and memories. Courage’s art pieces are not merely reflections of aesthetics; they represent the transient nature of existence, echoing the wisdom found in the natural world, where time and space constantly evolve, serving as profound meditations on the choices of consumers and the collective responsibility we bear for the environment. In a world dominated by disposability, his work offers a powerful counter-narrative, calling on viewers to reflect on their habits, cherishing the beauty and the teachings of nature. With every piece, he invites one to reevaluate their place in a world where art, environment intertwine in a mesmerizing dance of consciousness. SEPTIEME
Paris, Cotonou

Founded in 2019 in the 7th arrondissement of Paris in a Haussmann-style setting, SEPTIEME opened its second space in September 2022 in Cotonou, Benin, in a 200m2 warehouse in the center of the city, to offer exhibitions in a new format to audiences in the West African sub-region. It made sense for SEPTIEME to deploy its vision spatially and to help push back the frontiers of contemporary art, as well as to contribute to the construction of new contemporary art strongholds. ...
