Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork features a striking visual composition centered around a person's face encased in a futuristic, chrome-like helmet. The prominent use of silver and gray tones, coupled with the geometric shapes and intricate hardware, creates a sense of technological advancement and detachment. The subject's solemn expression and neutral pose suggest a contemplative or introspective mood, inviting the viewer to ponder the interplay between humanity and technology. 1969 , Korean

Hyungkoo Lee (b. 1969) has always focused on the human form and creates various works that visualize physiological movements in sculptural form. From his wearable devices exaggerating physical features to sculptures and installations featuring skeletons, Lee's bizarre, experimental artworks reexamine the confines and possibilities of the human body. He is widely known for the ANIMATUS series he started in 2005 which are three-dimensional skeletal images of anthropomorphized two-dimensional cartoon characters that have been analyzed anatomically.
