Isabelle Fein (*1973 in Wiesbaden, lives and works in Berlin) studied at the HfG in Offenbach with Prof. Heiner Blum and completed a two-year guest study at the Städelschule in Frankfurt with Prof. Michael Krebber. Fein has been represented by Galerie Parisa Kind since 2007. Her work is represented in major international collections, both private and public. Fein had solo exhibitions at the Fort Gansevoort Gallery and the Jack Hanley Gallery, both in New York, and took part in numerous group exhibitions at the Kunsthalle Nürnberg, the Halle für Kunst Lüneburg and the Kindl in Berlin, among others. One of her groups of works was on display in the exhibition “Paint also known as blood” at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. Your works were also presented as part of “Friends of a Friend” in Warsaw. Fein has also been an artist-in-residence at the CCA Andratx in Mallorca on several occasions. The upcoming exhibition will be the artist's 8th solo exhibition in our gallery. Whether her depictions are linear or painterly, in an academic manner or abstract, delicate or energetic and the contours vague or sharp - Isabelle Fein adapts the techniques and design means to the object she is depicting - apart from a certain thoughtfulness that is consistently calm to the point of being The figures appear withdrawn or dreamy, and their choice of motifs is not subject to any schematic guidelines. The only selection criterion is a respectful curiosity about people and animals, landscapes and objects. With a feel for striking moments and characteristic idiosyncrasies, she approaches all subjects with non-hierarchical attention and precision. This special attitude also comes into play in her unpretentious handling of her image carriers and her small-format ceramic objects, which she has been producing regularly since 2013 and which look like three-dimensional subjects from her artistic works, and which forms a recognition feature for the artist's works.
