Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork presents a minimalist sculptural piece consisting of vertically stacked wooden panels in vibrant shades of yellow and green. The composition emphasizes clean lines, geometric shapes, and the interplay of colors, creating a visually striking and harmonious arrangement. The artist's use of simple yet impactful materials and a reductive approach reflects the principles of Minimalist art, which aimed to challenge traditional notions of sculpture and highlight the inherent qualities of the materials. Jyll Bradley
B.1966

Jyll Bradley makes installations, films, drawings, and sculptures. Her work first emerged in the late 1980s and combines the formal vigor of Minimalism with ideas of identity and place. Light has been a constant protagonist in her practice, from her early pioneering photographic light-box installations to her acclaimed large-scale public realm works in fluorescent Plexiglas and LED. Bradley often pairs organic and industrial materials, expressing a desire to bring together different aspects of self in a process she describes as 'queering minimalism.' Her installations have increasingly become sites of activity such as dance, performance, and filmmaking, reflecting her interest in sculpture as a potent gathering place of people and ideas. ...
