Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This minimalist artwork features vibrant, vertical bands of color - yellow, brown, and blue-green - arranged in a simple, yet striking composition. The clean, geometric forms and contrast between the bold colors create a visually compelling and harmonious piece. The artist's precise technique and use of industrial materials, such as acrylic paint on wood panels, suggest a focus on exploring the interplay of color, shape, and light. This work exemplifies the artist's interest in reductive abstraction and the relationship between the viewer and the artwork's physical presence. ...

Jyll Bradley
1966

Jyll Bradley makes installations, films, drawings, and sculptures. Her work first emerged in the late 1980s and combines the formal vigor of Minimalism with ideas of identity and place. Light has been a constant protagonist in her practice, from her early pioneering photographic light-box installations to her acclaimed large-scale public realm works in fluorescent Plexiglas and LED. Bradley often pairs organic and industrial materials, expressing a desire to bring together different aspects of self in a process she describes as 'queering minimalism.' Her installations have increasingly become sites of activity such as dance, performance, and filmmaking, reflecting her interest in sculpture as a potent gathering place of people and ideas. ...
