For Alimi, thinking and contemplating through the physical act of doing is essential to the creative act. The manipulation of hues, proportions, and details creates a delicate balance between abstraction and its inviting feeling. In his series Too dad; can’t tell (2020), Alimi addresses the traumatic relationship between a father and a child viewed through the lens of his drawing process.
