Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork presents a striking checkerboard pattern in bold yellow and black hues, creating a visually striking composition. The central motif depicts an abstract, almost cave-like structure rendered in a rough, textural style, surrounded by organic forms and shapes. The overall aesthetic suggests a sense of primordial, earthy energy, with the contrasting colors and patterns adding dynamism to the piece. This work likely reflects the artist's exploration of primal forms and the interplay between natural and geometric elements, inviting the viewer to ponder the relationship between the abstract and the figurative. ...

Laura Põld
B.1984, Estonian

Laura Põld is an Estonian artist whose practice combines interdisciplinary and traditional craft skills with sculpture-based mediums. Through these lenses, she examines posthuman and more-than-human ways of being, caring, community building, and sheltering. She creates large-scale assemblages, constructions and installations from these sources, which playfully disrupt and subvert the typical understanding of art venues.
