Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This contemporary artwork features a sculptural composition with a predominant dark green and grey color palette. The central object appears to be a futuristic, sleek spacecraft or vehicle, with distinct angular forms and exposed mechanical components. The overall composition creates a sense of balance and tension, inviting the viewer to ponder the potential purpose or narrative behind this mysterious object. B.1986, Russian

Much of Marina Pinsky’s work is concerned with representations of the world – both spatial, ideological and material – and how one understands and interprets them. She often uses the technology of photography, and the layering of shots that it allows, to point to the absurdity and great expanses of space and time. Her 2020 exhibition at C L E A R I N G, 'Four Color Theorem', takes its name from a nineteenth century mathematical thesis which stated that a geographical map could use a minimum of four colours – red, yellow, green and blue – to delineate its regions. This idea rationalises and condenses the varied geopolitical complexities of nation states, flattening them to simple, uncomplex visual representations. Written by Goldsmiths CCA ...
