Meineche Hansen’s research picks away at the intersections that separate human bodies, surveillance and capital. A frequent focal point for the artist is the pornography industry and the ways in which the gender binary is propagated and proliferated by virtual adult entertainment. The materials used by Meineche Hansen to realise her outcomes, CGI animations, virtual reality, woodcut prints and sculpture, combine cutting edge technology with manual craft.
