Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This vibrant artwork features a striking oval-shaped enclosure filled with a captivating array of colors and shapes. The central element is a mesmerizing, luminous oval that appears to depict an otherworldly, dreamlike scene with bold purple and green hues. The overall composition is dynamic, with the oval framed by a wooden structure and a dark background that creates a sense of depth and contrast. The artist's use of distinctive techniques, such as the incorporation of luminous materials and the interplay of light and shadow, imbues the piece with a mystical, almost supernatural quality, inviting the viewer to explore the depths of the artist's imaginative vision. ...

Max Hooper Schneider's installations and assemblages focus on themes of death, destruction, and mutation. They are a series of fragmented dreamscapes made of chains, fluorescent tubes, monstrous fingers, and other suggested morphologies whose times and places intertwine, hovering in a transitory perimortal state that evokes both loss and resurrection. According to Schneider and his work, each body exists only through its interactions, communications, and exchanges of matter, energy, and information with other bodies. A 'trans-habitat' is created in which a tension exists between the traumatic and the marvelous. ...

Instituto de Vision is a Bogotá and New York based gallery for conceptual practices. Their mission is to investigate conceptual discourses that have been neglected by the official Latin American art canon. They have recovered important estates from the Latin American art of the mid century and continue to research the most enigmatic oeuvres of the region. Through a parallel program, they represent some of the most relevant contemporary practices from Colombia, Chile, North America, Venezuela, and others. Directed by three women, Instituto de Vision gives special attention to female voices, queer theories, environmental activism, the conflicts of migration, and other critical positions that challenge the established order. Using the international art scene as a platform, they are committed to give visibility and expand the work of artists that reveal critical realities and raise important questions for these contemporary subjects. ...
