Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork presented in the image depicts a series of dark, angular shapes against a plain, white background. The predominant use of black and grey tones, along with the geometric, almost architectural forms, suggest a minimalist, industrial aesthetic. The fragmented, layered composition creates a sense of depth and three-dimensionality, hinting at the artist's exploration of space and materiality. The overall simplicity and abstraction of the piece invite the viewer to engage with the nuances of form, light, and shadow, reflecting the artist's intention to distill the essence of the medium and challenge traditional notions of sculpture. ...

Niyeti Chadha’s artistic practice is concerned with built environments, both the spaces which we inhabit and those which we abandon. She seeks to reconfigure landscapes to create imaginary spaces, sometimes bound and claustrophobic or intimate, other times unbound and unsettlingly infinite. Chada’s research examines different materials and their connotations within urban or exhibition environments, and her physical realisations see her layering these materials to create innovative spatial experiences. Working in drawing, collage and sculpture, many of the artist’s works defy their own materiality – characterised by the name of Chadha’s 2016 exhibition, ‘Weaving Shards’ (2016), which juxtaposes the traditional craft of weaving with the sharp modernity evoked by the appearance of glass. ...
