Soyoung Park's oil paintings visualise the relationships between nature, humans and the objects that define our existence on a non-linear axis from the past to the future. In this way, her works explore the origin of matter and offer a trans-temporal vision of the future. Looking at Park's works, one can feel both familiar and unfamiliar, as in a dream; a sense of déjà vu and discovery is evoked. As the sky and the sea merge on the horizon, form disappears and colour reveals its presence in the artist's paintings.
