Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This minimalist artwork features a muted, earthy color palette with a textured, abstract composition. The black, organic shapes and marks scattered across the canvas evoke a sense of movement and energy, hinting at some unseen human presence or activity. The sparse but evocative visual elements suggest an exploration of themes like solitude, anonymity, and the human experience within a crowded urban landscape. The artist's distinctive style and technique point to a meditative, contemplative approach that invites the viewer to find their own meaning and connections within the artwork's understated yet deeply resonant visual language. ...

Artist
Trisha Baga
B.1985, American

Trisha Baga (b. 1985, Venice) lives and works in New York. A self-professed “hoarder of images,” Trisha Baga’s practice is compelled by an interest in what they call, “the stuff that fills the gaps.” Baga has built a reputation for work that gleans the margins of the digital and the logic of online browsing to create dreamy, layered narratives—an approach that, in addition to their multi-media and performative work, has secured their position as a significant voice in contemporary painting. Baga’s paintings draw upon diverse imagery culled from personal photographs, music videos, karaoke screens, and their own films to create uncanny spaces that meld our on- and off-screen lives. Baga doesn’t attempt to resolve the varying formal and associative registers of their artistic practice—the elements in their paintings don’t adhere to another seamlessly, and instead clump together like a mutually-imbricated life form held together by a sticky, viscous goo. ...

Société
Berlin

Société is a Berlin-based gallery with an international profile—its core operations lay in Europe, the United States, and Asia. The gallery’s exhibitions, publications, and boundary-pushing initiatives have established a vital dialogue among artists working internationally. Société focuses on establishing long-term, symbiotic relationships with its gallery artists, many of whom had their first solo exhibition with the gallery. The structure of the gallery’s program and the format of its projects is an artist-led approach that responds to the ever-evolving conditions of artistic research and production—at times even pushing beyond traditional exhibition formats. Although differing in media and approach, Société’s artists address the relationship between cultural production and consumption, the circulation of information, identity, and cultural history in an era highly mediated by technology. The gallery's publishing initiative Edition Société, has worked with accomplished graphic designers on a number of acclaimed artist's books. The gallery has additionally produced 12" records with several contemporary musicians. Société has exhibited at Art Basel / Art Basel Miami Beach / Art Basel Hong Kong / Frieze London / Frieze New York / Frieze LA / ARCO Madrid / Independent New York / Independent Brussels / Art Cologne / Art Brussels / Enter Art Fair / Gallery Weekend Berlin / and Art Berlin among other locations. ...
