Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork presents a striking visual composition featuring organic, symmetrical shapes rendered in shades of gray. The central motif resembles an abstract, butterfly-like form, with delicate, flowing lines that create a sense of movement and dynamism. The overall style reflects a modernist, sculptural aesthetic, utilizing negative space and textural elements to convey a sense of depth and dimensionality. The context of the piece suggests it may be an exploration of natural forms and the interplay between light and shadow, reflecting the artist's intention to evoke a meditative, introspective response in the viewer. ...

Xolo Cuintle
B.2020, French

Xolo Cuintle is an artist duo formed in 2020 by Romy Texier (1995, San Francisco) and Valentin Vie Binet (1996, Paris) who live in Paris and work in Aubervilliers. After graduating from Duperré School, the duo did a year-long residency at the Manufacture des Gobelins (2019 - 2020, Paris) as part of a studies programme with Mobilier national. The duo produce artworks that challenge boundaries between sculpture, furniture and décor. With their four hands, the duo create concrete sculptures and transform this solid and inert material into a fertile soil from which flourishes organic inspired ornamentation. Xolo Cuintle’s creations, meticulously assembled and arranged to inhabit each space, play on the objects that make up the topography of our daily life. The duo construct heterotopic spaces, on the threshold between dream and simulacrum. Within these deserted and petrified scenes, a new grammar of form that takes shape which, in layers, form an interpretation of time. ...
