Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This abstract artwork features a bold, textured composition in shades of deep red and brown. The surface is heavily embossed, creating a tactile, almost sculptural quality, with intersecting angular and geometric patterns that suggest an underlying architectural or structural motif. The overall effect is one of a weathered, layered surface that evokes a sense of time and process. The artist's distinctive technique, combining elements of painting, relief, and assemblage, reflects a contemporary approach to materiality and form, inviting the viewer to consider the interplay between the physical and the conceptual. ...

Artist
Giuseppe Gabellone
B.1973, Italian

Born in 1973 in Brindisi, Italy, Giuseppe Gabellone lives and works in Paris. Through his practice, which combines several mediums, Gabellone created the basis for his synthesis of the surreal, the classical and the baroque. His work is characterised by strict formal research and constant experimentation with different mediums and their idioms and materials, resulting in an analytic reflection on the use of space. Since the beginning of the 2000’s, he has been investigating different types of wall sculpture, reinterpreting traditional Italian wall relief. The work investigates the dialectics between two and three dimensions, and between representation and ornament. “Trying new things is the driving force”, he henceforth explains. He has thus set aside the production of photography of sculptures (certainly the most well-known facet of his work) to invest frontally in the sculptural field. Each new project gives way to material experimentation. ...

Paris

To avoid any narcissism the gallery will not bear a name, but instead mark of the end of a century during which the Fine Arts are exhausted of unknown practices and forms, Art: Concept was born. In 1997, the gallery joined its friends in the 13th district of Paris to be part of the adventure of the brand new rue Louise Weiss. Despite unforgettable years in this district, the move to the Marais was inevitable. Today, the gallery is located in a private passage (passage Sainte Avoye) and represents artists with whom it has been working for 25 years as well as young graduates. Trying to reflect the evolution of society, the gallery emphasises its proposals in a multi-faceted reflection on individuality and collectivity in a wide range of contexts. Like Janus, it looks both to the past and the future. Today's world is so in need of reference points that it's reassuring to invent a future, thanks to artists, as well as to compare it to the past. We invite you to ask for it, we will be at the gallery, very happy to explain it to you. ...
