Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This artwork features a simple, minimalist design composed of bold, contrasting colors. The central focus is a long, rectangular navy blue fabric flag or banner with evenly spaced white dots or circles running along its length. The fabric is attached to a wooden pole, creating a striking visual juxtaposition of organic and geometric elements. The style is clean and reductive, highlighting the interplay of shape, color, and negative space. This piece likely explores themes of order, repetition, and the aesthetics of everyday objects, reflecting the artist's interest in the fundamental building blocks of visual composition. ...

Chilean-born, New York-based artist Johanna Unzeuta intertwines components from Chilean craft practices, natural tinting, and repetitive mechanised movement. Unzueta’s creative output addresses the historical, technological, and social effects of labour on the nature of the human condition, as well as its interaction with nature. Employing techniques drawn from Latin American Indigenous craft practices, the paper that serves as the surface for her drawings is tinted by hand using natural dyes associated with the aforementioned practices.
