Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The sculpture depicts a minimalist chair-like structure crafted from intricate, perforated metal plates. The overall composition features a muted, monochromatic palette, emphasizing the form and negative space. The artwork's industrial aesthetic and the artist's focus on deconstructing the conventional chair design suggest an exploration of materiality, functionality, and the boundaries of traditional furniture. This piece likely reflects the artist's interest in challenging preconceptions about the purpose and representation of everyday objects within the contemporary art context. ...

Luca Staccioli
B.1988, ITALIAN

Luca Staccioli’s multidisciplinary artistic practice is research-based and process-oriented, merging sculptures, photos, videos, sounds, embroideries, drawings, and collages. His hybrid artworks question the processes of aesthetic and identity homogenization and their influence on competitiveness, worth, expectations, and the exploitation of emotionality by mass media. Diversity and imaginative transformation become tools for the decolonization of nature and everyday life. Staccioli layers childhood fantasies, micro-stories, uprooted memories, as well as everyday objects and nomadic images that proliferate on the internet and in historical archives. His works de-functionalize products, shifting their scales, transforming their materials, often using found objects as molds to create new forms and stories. Reflecting on the changing value of tales and items, and on the relation between human bodies, artifacts and natural ecosystems, Staccioli reappropriates images and realities eroded by consumption and productivity, investigating political territories of re-imagination. ...
