Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork features a striking composition of bold colors and distinct geometric shapes. The central element is a white sphere resting atop a stack of colored, rounded forms in shades of red, green, and yellow. The overall design exudes a playful, whimsical quality through its use of primary colors and simplified shapes. The style and technique employed suggest a minimalist or modernist approach, with a focus on clean lines and basic shapes to convey a sense of harmony and balance. The artwork likely aims to explore themes of simplicity, balance, and the interplay of form and color in a captivating, thought-provoking manner. ...

Artist
Richard Fauguet
1963 , French

Born in 1962 in La Châtre, Richard Fauguet lives and works in Châteauroux. Since his debut at the School of Fine Arts in Bordeaux, the artist has proposed a protean work – drawings, collages, rubbings, sculptures – that often works in series or periods guided by the use of a particular material. One recalls the paper silhouettes, burnt sheets, glass installations, or more recently postcards with pouring spouts. Richard Fauguet combines a variety of universes and imaginaries that may seem antagonistic at first sight. The great masters of art history, his so called “buddies”, are often summoned (Picasso, Degas, Giacometti, etc.) and forced to get involved with some figures issued from popular culture and our collective imagination (Mr. Clean or Darth Vader for example). Using simple materials such as tape, clay, empty shells and found objects, Richard Fauguet revisits the so-called classical genres, portraiture and landscapes alike. He thus proposes a renewed aesthetic that blurs the lines and transcends the traditional divide between high and low culture. ...

Paris

To avoid any narcissism the gallery will not bear a name, but instead mark of the end of a century during which the Fine Arts are exhausted of unknown practices and forms, Art: Concept was born. In 1997, the gallery joined its friends in the 13th district of Paris to be part of the adventure of the brand new rue Louise Weiss. Despite unforgettable years in this district, the move to the Marais was inevitable. Today, the gallery is located in a private passage (passage Sainte Avoye) and represents artists with whom it has been working for 25 years as well as young graduates. Trying to reflect the evolution of society, the gallery emphasises its proposals in a multi-faceted reflection on individuality and collectivity in a wide range of contexts. Like Janus, it looks both to the past and the future. Today's world is so in need of reference points that it's reassuring to invent a future, thanks to artists, as well as to compare it to the past. We invite you to ask for it, we will be at the gallery, very happy to explain it to you. ...
