Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

Daisy Collingridge's "Facescape (Yellow)" is a tactile sculpture featuring soft, muted yellow and peach tones with rounded, abstract shapes creating a stylized human face. The plush texture suggests a sense of pliability and comfort, reminiscent of her textile roots. The composition blends elements of traditional portraiture with a surreal, exaggerated form. Collingridge's work explores the human form through innovative textile techniques, transitioning from fashion to contemporary sculpture. Her intention is to celebrate the body's malleability and express emotion through fabric manipulation. ...

B.1990, British

A multi-disciplinary artist working across sculpture, photography and performance, the core of British artist Daisy Collingridges work is an exploration and celebration of the human form. Her love of textiles lead her first to a degree in Fashion Design from Central Saint Martins, graduating in 2014. After working with Louis Vuitton and Atelier, her work developed from fashion into contemporary art and sculpture, but still remained rooted in fabric manipulation and figure, creating ‘squishies’, the name of her wearable sculpture. ...
