Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This abstract artwork features a predominantly minimalist composition, with subtle patterns of thin, parallel lines in shades of cream and off-white. The overall effect is one of understated elegance and a calming, meditative quality. The artist's technique appears to emphasize the intricate details and textures created by the carefully arranged lines, which give the piece a sense of depth and visual intrigue. Kang Seung Lee
B.1978, American/South Korean

Through the artist’s meticulous process of research, hidden narratives and personal accounts, divergent with hegemonic and linear histories, begin to emerge. Expressing his findings with graphite pencil, paintings on transformed canvases, garments, ceramics, film footage and Polaroid images, Kang Seung Lee sees these alternative, counter-narratives as dictating strategies and tactics for the liberation of marginalised peoples.
