Sandra Gamarra's practice makes reference to cultural production as a construction in balance. The constant use of painting in Gamarra, always camouflaged or hybrid, acts as a mirror that alters the exhibition formats, narratives and the concept of cultural property. In 2002, she created the LiMac, a museum project, in response to the cultural institutional void in Peru.
