Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This contemporary artwork features a bold, minimalist composition using contrasting light and shadow. The central subject is a hand gesture, depicted in a stark black outline against a muted, moody background. The use of dramatic lighting creates a striking visual effect, casting a dramatic shadow that extends beyond the hand. The overall style is highly abstract, relying on simple shapes and lines to convey a sense of movement and emotion. The artist's intention may be to explore themes of human expression, agency, or the interplay between light and dark. ...

B.1986, South Korean

Throughout her career, Suyeon Kim has continued to explore the notion of weather, with a particular interest in the relationship between data and tooltips to form carefully calculated compositions on a picture plane. She sees weather as a manifestation of power, metaphorising personal experiences and emotions into mediated objects. Kim’s paintings integrate data accumulated over time and movement. The artist observes the movement of the tool from the xy-axis plane and discerns the change in force from the z-axis by evaluating the bluntness or sharpness of the marks, then conscientiously traces and studies the modes of painting according to the tools. ...
