Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This vibrant abstract painting showcases a dynamic interplay of colors and forms. The composition features an energetic blend of expressive brushstrokes in hues of yellow, green, and warm earth tones, creating a sense of movement and visual complexity. While the subject matter is not immediately recognizable, the artwork conveys a sense of organic, almost biomorphic shapes that suggest a connection to the natural world. The artist's bold, gestural technique and the fluid, improvisational quality of the painting suggest an approach rooted in the tradition of Abstract Expressionism, reflecting an intention to capture the immediacy of the creative process and the subjectivity of the artistic experience. ...

Wu Jiaru experiments with installation, ready-made, painting and generative digital images. Her works explore issues of identity, boundaries and the individualisation of history from the perspectives of mythology, literature and intimate relationships. More recently, the artist has been using automatic drawing as a practice of 'unlearning', engaging in a daily routine of repetitive actions and spontaneous drawing in an attempt to enter a state of automatisation involving both her body and her mind. This act of automatic drawing is also used as a form of counter-control to the technological control of our time, to reflect on the relationship between human subjectivity and the subjectivity of technological objects. ...
