Pigment print on Baryta Hahnemühle 315g, from a silver negative. American box frame without glass. Triptych, 30 x 30 cm each.Galerie Cécile Fakhoury
Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This striking triptych of black and white photographs captures the dynamic interplay of light and shadow in the sky. The series features a series of dramatic, swirling clouds that dominate the frame, their ethereal forms accentuated by the stark contrast of light and dark. The artist's use of high-contrast monochrome creates a sense of depth and drama, drawing the viewer's eye through the layered, turbulent compositions. The atmospheric, almost abstract nature of the work suggests an exploration of the ephemeral, ever-changing beauty of the natural world. This series evokes a contemplative, almost meditative mood, inviting the viewer to pause and reflect on the power and wonder of the elements. ...

Artist
Yo-Yo Gonthier
B.1974, Niger

Yo-Yo Gonthier's art is freely inspired by the exploration in general: quests, discoveries and travels that are as much concrete as they are fantasised. By means of film, drawing, engraving, photography and performance, he invites us to a historical reading of forms and universal matters. Through both actions and symbols, forms lead to the rethinking of the dreaming state here and now, within its repetition or experience in different geographical sites. Yo-Yo Gonthier is a composer of lines, senses and sounds: the materiality of his works results from those. A paper print appears from an engraved object, as if it were photographed or pinned. Reproducibility testifies to a return to the essence of forms. ...
