Pigment print on Baryta Hahnemühle, from a silver negative. American box frame without glass. Galerie Cécile Fakhoury
Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This monochrome photograph depicts a delicate and intricate natural form, likely a dried seed pod or flower. The composition is centered on the intricate, web-like structure, with a sense of fragility and ethereal lightness conveyed through the use of soft focus and high contrast. The artist has employed a minimalist, almost abstract approach, emphasizing the inherent beauty and complexity of the subject matter. This piece likely reflects the artist's intention to draw attention to the overlooked wonders of the natural world and to encourage a deeper appreciation of nature's intricate designs. ...

Yo-Yo Gonthier's art is freely inspired by the exploration in general: quests, discoveries and travels that are as much concrete as they are fantasised. By means of film, drawing, engraving, photography and performance, he invites us to a historical reading of forms and universal matters. Through both actions and symbols, forms lead to the rethinking of the dreaming state here and now, within its repetition or experience in different geographical sites. Yo-Yo Gonthier is a composer of lines, senses and sounds: the materiality of his works results from those. A paper print appears from an engraved object, as if it were photographed or pinned. Reproducibility testifies to a return to the essence of forms. ...
