Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork features a striking metallic sculpture with a cylindrical, tubular form rising from a dark, solid base. The overall composition creates a sense of balance and simplicity, with the smooth, reflective surface of the metal contrasting sharply against the dark background. The artist's use of minimal, industrial materials and forms suggests a focus on the sculptural qualities of the work, inviting the viewer to examine the interplay of light, shadow, and materiality. This minimalist sculpture likely reflects the artist's exploration of the fundamental elements of form and space, challenging the viewer's perception and interpretation of the piece. ...

Jedsada Tangtrakulwong

Jedsada Tangtrakulwong works primarily with site-specific installation, bringing together photography, sound, drawing and light to awaken audience perceptions of different spaces. Each body of work develops from extended interactions with particular environments. His 2013 project, Spirit Under The Chi River was based on 21 months of fieldwork covering the fishermen's way of life and the fishing-related culture in twelve villages near the Chi River, Maha Sarakham Province. Simultaneously, Tangtrakulwong was working on Downfall (2013), which was inspired by large, otherworldly trees the artist encountered in Roi Et and Maha Sarakham provinces from November 2010 to January 2013. Building on these experiences, Tangtrakulwong then begins the process of translating his findings into an installation for the public to navigate. Playing with light and sound, as well as built components, Tangtrakulwong tries to emulate the sensorial atmosphere of these different regions, bringing ‘the outside, inside’ as the artist puts it. Tangtrakulwong’s sensitivity to different habitats evokes a similar sensitivity that ran through the 1960s Land Art movement, and the architectural dimension of his practice also echoes the collaborative work of Christo and Jeanne-Claude. ...
