Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This abstract artwork features a soft, hazy composition of muted tones and indistinct forms. The color palette is predominantly neutral, with shades of beige and gray creating a weathered, atmospheric effect. The overall impression is one of subtlety and introspection, with the faint, ghostly shapes evoking a sense of ambiguity and mystery. The techniques employed seem to involve a layered, almost translucent approach, suggesting a process of gradual, intuitive mark-making. The artist's intention may have been to capture a fleeting moment or emotion, inviting the viewer to contemplate the ephemeral nature of the human experience. ...

Artist
Sophie Bueno-Boutellier
B.1974

Sophie Bueno-Boutellier uses paint to transform materials into abstractions. She transforms everyday materials that have been abandoned, neglected or damaged, such as bed sheets, towels and used clothes. Through her artistic process, she imbues them with an eminence, taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary. Bueno-Boutellier reinvents the world around her, salvaging her objects with care and giving them new life.

Over the years the gallery has operated parallel programmes in additional gallery spaces in London’s West End (The Approach W1) and in Shoreditch (The Reliance).
