Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This contemporary artwork features a striking gold and gray eye motif. The composition is dominated by a large, stylized eye with a circular pupil and radiating eyelashes or sunrays emanating from the edges. The minimalist design and use of geometric shapes create a bold, graphic effect. The artwork's subject matter, an eye symbol, likely holds significance as a representation of vision, perception, or spiritual insight. The artist's distinctive metallic palette and precise, symmetrical technique suggest a modern, minimalist artistic style. This visually captivating piece may explore themes of introspection, enlightenment, or the power of observation. ...

Fátima Rodrigo
Peruvian

Fátima Rodrigo’s work has evolved towards mixed media and interactive installations exploring the representation of Latin American modernism and gender identity through different devices such as architecture, modern art and pop culture. She is particularly interested in problematizing the structures of power that in a post-colonial context continue to organize the world in hierarchical binaries, veiling the fluid relations between colonizers and colonized that compose what we understand as “modern.” Her work has focused on understanding how modernity—understood broadly as an aesthetic, a moment in history, and an aspiration that becomes embodied in landscapes and human bodies— not only coexists with, but enables violence against vulnerable populations, including women and non-gender normative people. Her investigation raises questions regarding the ways in which these representations influence our desires and interactions based on repeated behaviors over time, shaping conventions that eventually become a sort of canon. ...
