Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork features a vibrant green background with a variety of bold, geometric shapes in black and gold. The composition is dynamic, with intersecting lines, angular forms, and a sense of depth created through the overlapping elements. The style appears to be abstract, with the emphasis on color, shape, and composition rather than any specific subject matter. The artwork may reflect the artist's exploration of modernist or constructivist principles, aiming to create a visually engaging and thought-provoking piece. ...

Fátima Rodrigo
Artist
Fátima Rodrigo
Peruvian

Fátima Rodrigo’s work has evolved towards mixed media and interactive installations exploring the representation of Latin American modernism and gender identity through different devices such as architecture, modern art and pop culture. She is particularly interested in problematizing the structures of power that in a post-colonial context continue to organize the world in hierarchical binaries, veiling the fluid relations between colonizers and colonized that compose what we understand as “modern.” Her work has focused on understanding how modernity—understood broadly as an aesthetic, a moment in history, and an aspiration that becomes embodied in landscapes and human bodies— not only coexists with, but enables violence against vulnerable populations, including women and non-gender normative people. Her investigation raises questions regarding the ways in which these representations influence our desires and interactions based on repeated behaviors over time, shaping conventions that eventually become a sort of canon. ...
