Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork features a striking visual composition with a vibrant yellow cylinder as the main subject, balancing a glass jar filled with preserved orange orbs on top. The bold, geometrical shape and the contrast between the smooth, uniform yellow surface and the textured, translucent glass jar create a visually engaging and minimalist aesthetic. The artwork seems to explore the interplay between industrial design and natural elements, with the preserved citrus fruits acting as a subtle, organic counterpoint to the synthetic, engineered form. The overall impression is one of a refined, conceptual piece that invites the viewer to ponder the relationships between form, function, and the natural world. ...

Koenraad Dedobbeleer constructs sculptural environments, often resembling elements of 1970s Space Age interior design, futuristic aesthetics for an imagined realm. Assembled together with Dedobeleer's original fabrications, his installations incorporate humorous modifications and recontextualisations of readymade objects. Through placing formerly mundane articles within the artist’s constructed worlds, he elevates and liberates them from their formal quality and function, asking the viewer to reevaluate them in a new context. This play between original sculpture and transformed object creates intriguing dynamics and contextual rifts, questioning the value and provenance attributed to objects, and how they can be altered within fresh frames of reference.
